"From first consultation, through to the final photos being sent, Mark and Emily were just amazing! I knew going in that I was going to need outgoing photographers who knew what they were doing and could keep me calm and not feeling shy or awkward in front of the camera during my wedding. First of all, they were very welcoming and made us both feel immediately at ease....which wasn't the case with a couple other photographers we met. They were also completely prepared not only with samples of their work, but they asked a ton of questions about our bridal party and our vision so they could plan the perfect day around us. "Pictures were one of the most important aspects of the wedding day for us. We decided early on that we wanted to have two photographers, and Mark and Emily were the perfect choice. While the wedding party was getting ready and en route, Mark worked with the guys and Emily stayed with the ladies to capture their hair/makeup, dress reveal, and other moments. It was great having two separate angles and styles for the ceremony and reception, and Mark and Emily worked very well as a team orchestrating larger family shots efficiently. Speaking of those family shots... we wanted a lot of them. Perhaps, objectively, a ridiculous number of different combinations. Mark and Emily were very patient and somehow got so many great pictures even as we were all braving the wind and cold at our reception venue. As an intelligent and capable adult man, I managed to cut myself shaving a day or two before the wedding, and that was visible in a lot of our guests' photos. Thomson and Thomson edited it out perfectly where relevant (and without me needing to mention it). Despite that, they still managed to get us teasers while we were still on the honeymoon and the curated set of ~1000 best takes within a month. The day after our wedding we received a number of beautiful “sneak peaks.” It made reminiscing the day after that much better. The day of the wedding they arrived early and got right to work. "Incredible is the only word fitting to describe Mark and Emily! Right from our first meeting with them, we knew we had made the right decision. They are so welcoming and immediately made us feel so comfortable. They had never been to our venue before so we set up a walk through a few weeks before our wedding this past August. They both have such a creative eye and saw spots to take pictures that I would never have looked twice at! The day of the wedding, they we’re so helpful keeping us on time while still getting all the pictures we had wanted. "Our wedding was a week ago, so we don't have all of our photos in yet, but I can confidently write a 5-star review for this couple who exceeded expectations and whose "sneak peak" photos are beyond impressive. I do not know how anyone gets by with just one photographer. Mark & Emily are an amazing team and absolutely killed it at the wedding! They are professional, organized, creative, and direct us appropriately to get all of our desired photos taken (you NEED someone to tell you where to go due to the endless distractions); at the same time, not overbearing. We made the best of a rainy, windy day - amidst the COMPLETE last-minute change from outdoors to indoors wedding. The two really pulled it together for us immediately once we found out the ceremony AND reception would not be outside - which is what I had in mind and planned for MONTHS (thank goodness for a plan-B). Mark and Emily still managed to take us outside with large umbrellas keeping us dry; while working together in high winds to keep themselves and their equipment dry, in great efforts to take a few outdoor gazebo photos (which, for months, I dreamt of). They are the whole package, the real deal. We're glad we said "yes", to our outstanding photographers!"

"Mark and Emily were the very first "vendors" that we hired for our wedding. The second we met them, I felt so comfortable and hired them immediately. I had no doubts that we made the perfect choice. Two weeks prior to the wedding, they both met us on site to scope out our venue and go over ideas we had and even helped me plan the perfect "surprise" first look. They put my mind at ease and I never once worried. Come wedding day, they arrived early and looked very professional. They were able to orchestrate all of the photos I wanted on my "must have" list in no time! They were so efficient in taking pictures, that it allowed me and my husband to fully enjoy our wedding with our loved ones. Now let's talk about Emily and Mark. They were willing to do just about anything to get the perfect shot! Including Emily going for a hike down a mountain and hiding in ferns (and God knows what else!), and Mark carrying a massive ladder with him to get perfect ariel shots. They were so subtle during the ceremony, I even caught myself looking around to make sure they were there! (I hate those photographers that are up in your face ruining the moment for everyone else!) A few days later, they sent us beautiful sneak peak photos while wee were on our honeymoon! We were so excited to see how beautiful they came out and what they captured. About 3 weeks later they let me know our thumb drive was in the mail! We got it the very next day! 826 beautifully edited photos later, my husband and I were left stunned. Keep in mind, I got the photos about a week ago and am just now getting a chance to write this review because I have been reviewing these photos on replay for the past week! They captured beauty, candids, artistic shots, shots I couldn't have ever dreamed of! We are still in awe. If you have any doubts about who to hire, think no further and hire Mark and Emily. We are so happy we did and that our perfect day was captured in such a perfect way."

"I couldn't have been more happy to work with Mark and Emily of Thomson and Thomson Photography. We found it very professional and personal that they offered to meet with us after a few email exchanges so we could get to know each other. They were the first ones to bring up timing of the year for sunlight, etc as well as to go out to the property for our future pictures. We had them do our engagement pictures, which came out amazing! Mark and Emily were more than game to meet us at our favorite spot in Massachusetts to take the photos. I had many questions along the way and they were always quick to respond and they always put me at ease. I'm so glad we all went to the venue to check out the landscapes and plan our agenda. I was so nervous about how everything would come together with the DJ, photographer, and wedding coordinator, but Emily and Mark lead everything flawlessly. Everyone always new where and when they were supposed to be and we were able to do all of the pictures we wanted within the timeframe we had planned - and we had a lot of people involved in our pictures! We received so many compliments from family and friends about how organized, professional, and fun they were to work with. As for the wedding pictures they took, we also couldn't be more happy with them! They took every picture we had on our list and we have so much variety in them as well! These pictures are not your standard wedding pictures. I think this is what I like about their style best - they take care to get to know the bride and groom so that the real essence comes out in the photos as well as the happiness and energy of a sunny April day! I think I saw that from the beginning when I initially looked at their website and photo albums and I'm so glad it came out in ours.
